Starting CyberControl
When CyberControl is opened, the application automatically starts communications through the serial
port. This is the Initialization portion of the startup sequence. If the CyberAmp is not powered up, or is
not attached to the correct port, the application will ask if it should enter a demonstration mode, a
feature designed to show the operation of the application when a CyberAmp is not attached.
Alternatively, one can choose the CyberControl Preferences panel to change the Serial Communication
Rate or the Serial Port. The Status Scanning Rate, the rate at which the CyberAmp status is interrogated
and used to update the spreadsheet, can also be set in this display. As the scanning may take computer
overhead or generate beat noise, it can also be disabled by choosing Scanning Disabled.
In the second portion of the initialization sequence, the application checks for any CyberAmps attached
to the computer. The progress graph continues all the way to the right of the window. When the
scanning is finished, a new window will be opened that represents the attached CyberAmp.
The CyberAmp Window

Macintosh: A spreadsheet is used to show the status of all channels of the attached CyberAmp
amplifier, and consists of one row for each channel. The CyberAmp window also has a
gray bar that contains the CyberAmp icon. Clicking on the CyberAmp icon will reduce the
window to an icon; clicking on it again will restore the window. And, when any channel on
the CyberAmp amplifier is overloaded, the icon is inverted and turns red.
