5. Verify that the USB IR receiver device is operating properly

under the MCE operating system.

 Go to the Windows Start menu on the desktop, select My Computer, then

right-click

Properties.

 Select the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

 Look for and expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

 Right-click eHome Infrared Receiver to verify the device is enabled and

operating properly.
